Disciplined Launch Leadership

I help established CPG companies turn promising ideas into launch-ready plans through disciplined commercialization decisions, cross-functional coordination, and experienced launch leadership.

Strong launches require disciplined decisions.

Your Launch Can Be Moving and Still Not Be Ready

A busy project team can create the appearance of progress while important commercialization decisions remain unresolved.

Packaging is moving. Timelines are being built. Costs are changing. Sales needs answers. Operations is identifying constraints. Leadership wants to know whether the launch is still on track.

But who is looking across the entire commercialization effort?

I help leadership teams bring structure to those moving pieces—clarifying what needs to be decided, who owns what, where risk remains, and what needs to be true before the business moves forward.

The goal isn't simply to keep the project moving.

It's to make sure the business is becoming ready to launch.

When an Important Launch Needs More Structure

“Companies typically bring me in when an opportunity matters, but the path from idea to launch is becoming difficult to manage”

From Launch Details to Executive Decisions

Commercialization requires someone who can see both.

I have spent more than 15 years working inside the details that determine whether products move forward—Stage-Gate, commercialization planning, packaging development, product costs and margins, cross-functional timelines, dependencies, and project execution.

I have also worked at the level where those details become business decisions, presenting launch progress, risks, financial considerations, recommendations, and Stage-Gate decisions to C-suite executives.

Across 60 product launches, I have learned to move between those two levels.

That's the perspective I bring to my clients: enough detail to understand what is actually happening in the launch, and enough business perspective to help leadership decide what should happen next.

Meet Michelle

I've spent more than 15 years working at the point where ideas have to become commercially viable products.

Across 60 product launches, I've worked with teams bringing everything from nationally recognized snack brands to specialty foods, commercial cleaning products, and industrial products to market.

What has kept me interested in commercialization isn't simply seeing the finished product on the shelf.

It's the work that happens before that moment.

The decisions. The tradeoffs. The financial questions. The packaging constraints. The cross-functional dependencies. The point where leadership has to decide whether the business is actually ready to move forward.

I've led Stage-Gate processes, built commercialization plans, managed packaging development, worked through product costs and margins, run cross-functional timelines, and presented recommendations and project decisions to C-suite executives.

I founded The Blachman Advisory to bring that experience to companies that have an important opportunity in front of them and need experienced commercialization leadership to help move it forward.

Strong launches require disciplined decisions.

That's where I help.
